“Why can’t I harvest a Cow’s internal organs to make myself better food?”
Even if that thought hasn’t crossed your mind (Although I’m sure it has at one point or another) this mod is for you! All those other Food and Item mods have done it wrong… Cows are used for much more than just beef and leather! With plans for Meat Pressers, Automatic Milkers, and even cows infected with “Mad Cow” disease, Better Cows is already a fun mod to play. Even in it’s Alpha state, it will help you hunger be more fulfilled, and your lust for Beefy Blood satisfied!

Dense Steak:
Finally. 6 years after Minecraft’s release, it has finally been done. Dense Steak is possibly the most valuable part of this mod. Eventually, it will be crafted in a Meat Presser, which will make it much more balanced. For now, it is crafted by putting two cooked steak in a crafting table. The Dense Steak is a single food item, which instead of being consumed upon being eaten, loses one durability! (AND IT HAS 256 DURABILITY!)
The Dense Steak is the equivalent of 4 stacks of steak, except packed into one item. So please forgive the current imbalance with the crafting recipe. It will be fixed…
Plated Armor and Chrome Sword:
Chrome Plating seems to have a mysterious property, making it more resistant to damage and more durable. It also seems fairly flame retardant, as many researchers have pointed out! Chrome Plating is simple enough to make; put four Chromium Ingots into a Crafting Table. If you surround a piece of Diamond Armor with eight Chrome Plating, it will make the corresponding Plated Armor piece.
Plated Armor is special. It has higher durability and armor than diamond, and upon wearing a full set, it gives you the Resistance potion effect. It was so strong, I had to Nerf it by making sure you couldn’t add Protection to it. So now, anytime you craft a piece of the armor, it will automatically have fire protection 4 on it.
The Chrome Sword is also unique, as when you hold it it gives you a haste status effect. Although it gives you the status effect, it has the same damage ratio as Iron and only slightly more durability then Iron.
Crafting:
Smelting Chromite Ore will yield you 1 Chromium Ingot.
Combining 4 Chromium Ingots will give you 1 Chrome Plating.
Surrounding any piece of Diamond Armor with Chrome Plating will give you the corresponding Plated Armor.
Chrome Tools are crafted like any other tools, but with Chromium Ingots of (Example:) Diamonds.
Dense Steak (Temporary):Two Steak in a crafting table.
1 Cow Intestine will ALWAYS drop off a cow, as all cows have intestines. Duh.
Combining one Flint (acting as a blade) with one Cow Intestine will give you 6 Intestine Segments.
Combining one Intestine Segment with one Steak will give you two Beef Sausages.
Two wheat and one Steak in a crafting table will yield one Burger.
